Diesel Service Apprentice

The role of the Diesel Service Apprentice is to perform light maintenance work under close supervision. This is the first stage of training for Service Technician status. Expectations for this Position:
- Perform maintenance work (i.e. preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections,
- light electrical repairs, etc.) under supervision
- Assist Technicians in heavy-duty truck repair
- Attend training sessions to gain knowledge and experience
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area and properly handle company tools
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited training program or 1 to 2 years of work experience in a related field of mechanical background.
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a chauffeur's license with a medical card.
Hours:
The position will start as Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, then transition to a Monday to Friday 3:00 pm to Midnight with an on-call weekend every 3 to 4 weeks once the apprentice training is complete.
